Returns & warranty.

How long you have, what's covered, how to start a return, and when the refund hits your account. Written on every invoice, mirrored here in full.

Return window

Most inventory is returnable within the following windows, counted from the delivery date:

  • New parts — 30 days, unused, in original packaging.
  • Reconditioned parts — 30 days, unused, in original packaging.
  • Serviceable used parts — 14 days, condition-verified at return.

What's returnable

Parts are eligible when they are:

  • Returned within the applicable window (above).
  • In resalable condition — no grease, no marks, no installed wear.
  • Accompanied by original packaging, hardware, and any included documentation.
  • Authorized by an RMA number (see below).

Non-returnable items

The following cannot be returned under any circumstance:

  • Airbag-system components and pre-tensioner seat belts — safety and liability restriction.
  • Electrical parts that have been installed — alternators, starters, ECUs, sensors, wiring harnesses.
  • Special-order and custom-sourced items, unless defective.
  • Hazardous materials — batteries (once activated), airbag modules, fuel-system components.
  • Items explicitly sold "as-is" on the invoice.

Starting a return (RMA)

Do not return a part without an RMA number — unauthorized returns are refused at our dock.

  1. Email returns@brightglory.auto with your order number, part number, quantity, reason for return, and photos.
  2. We issue an RMA number within 1 business day, valid for 14 days.
  3. Pack the part securely and include the RMA paperwork inside the box.
  4. Ship back to: Bright Glory General, Attn: RMA #_____, 27228 Michigan Ave, Inkster, MI 48141.

Restocking & return shipping

Return shipping is the trade partner's responsibility unless the return is caused by our error (wrong part shipped, defective on arrival, etc.) — in which case we cover return freight.

Restocking fees:

  • New parts returned in original condition — no restocking fee.
  • Reconditioned / serviceable returns — 15% restocking fee applies to cover inspection and re-grading.
  • Special-order cancellations after we've begun sourcing — up to 25%, determined case-by-case.

Refund method & timing

Once the return is received and inspected, we issue refunds within 5 business days to the original payment method:

  • Card payments — refunded to the card via Stripe. Your bank typically posts the refund in 5–10 business days.
  • ACH / net-30 accounts — credited against your next invoice, or refunded by ACH on request.
  • Wire transfer — refunded by ACH or wire; wire fees are deducted.

Warranty coverage

Unless otherwise stated on the invoice, every part we sell is covered by the following minimum warranty:

  • New parts — 12 months from date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship.
  • Reconditioned parts — 12 months, same terms.
  • Serviceable used parts — 90 days against non-functionality on arrival or early failure under normal use.
  • "As-is" parts — no warranty. Clearly marked on the invoice.

Warranty covers the part only. It does not cover labor, diagnostic time, consequential damage, or loss of use.

Warranty claims

Submit warranty claims the same way you start a return (Section 4). Include photos, the failure symptoms, and — where possible — the diagnostic trouble code or test result that identified the fault.

At our discretion we will either: ship a replacement part at no charge, or issue a refund. Shipping on warranty replacements within the continental US is covered by us.

Damaged or incorrect parts

If the part that arrives is damaged or is not what you ordered:

  • Email info@brightglorygenerall.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos and order number.
  • We issue a pre-paid return label and ship the correct part from inventory as soon as stock is confirmed.
